Cop stabbed to death by snatcher in Kishoreganj

Kishoreganj Correspondent: A snatcher has allegedly stabbed a police constable to death when the cop chased down the criminal shortly after the incident of a snatching in Tulplaza area under Bhairab upazila of the district.

The deceased was identified as Arifur Rahman.

Kishoreganj Additional police super Rakib Khan said the police constable was on duty in the area around 9:00pm Sunday on Dhaka-Sylhet highway. Meanwhile, a gang of snatcher attacked a pedestrian. Sensing the incident, Arifur rushed to the spot. But, the mugger chopped the policeman with sharp weapon indiscriminately, leaving him injured.

Later, Arifur was taken to Bhairab Upazila Hospital but he died on the way of hospital.
