Cop to compensate families of militant attack victims

Staff Correspondent: Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Shafiqul Islam said that police will compensate the families of militant attack victims.
The police commissioner made the disclosure while visiting a hospital to see the body of fire service man Abdul Matin on Thursday.
Confirming the matter, fire service and civil defense's deputy director Nurul Islam said RMP Commissioner went to the hospital on behalf of Inspector General of Police (IGP).
Meanwhile, he told the victim's wife Tanzila Begum that police headquarters will compensate Tk.10 lakh to the family.
The fireman was speared to death during the violence at Benipur village of the Rajshahi district's Godagarhi upazila on Thursday morning.
Police said that five members of the militant family were killed in suicide blasts after the attack.
