‘Country getting free from polio at PM’s initiative’

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam said the country is getting free from polio at the Prime Minister’s initiative. Vitamin-A Plus capsules are being fed to children countrywide so that no child can suffer from malnutrition.

The mayor said this while inaugurating the ‘Vitamin A Plus’ campaign at Fertility Services and Training Centre in the capital’s Mohammadpur area on Saturday.

Atiqul said vitamin-A Plus capsules help to prevent childhood blindness and reduce child mortality and strengthen their immunity system.

He also urged not to pay any heed to any rumour saying, “There’s no problem over the quality of Vitamin-A Plus capsules.”
