Cricket Australia satisfied with security arrangement

Sports Reporter: The Cricket Australia (CA) has expressed their satisfaction over the security arrangement in Bangladesh.

Australia are scheduled to tour Bangladesh for two Test matches this August-September.

Cricket Australia’s anti-corruption and security unit manager Sean Carroll is on a two-day tour to Bangladesh and had a series of meetings with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Australian High Commission and the Inspector General of Bangladesh Police on Tuesday.

BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury informed that Sean Carroll is more than satisfied with the security arrangement in place.Inspector General of Bangladesh Police, AKM Shahidul Haque has assured the Australians of fool-proof security. Carroll however, has not asked for anything more than the security arrangement given to England.

Carroll is likely to visit the venue for the first Test, Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, on Wednesday.

He is also set to meet the high-ups of the Detective Branch and Rapid Action Battalion on the same day. Carroll is scheduled to leave Dhaka on Thursday.
