Criminals must get punishment: Home Minister

Staff Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said if former Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Feni’s Sonagazi Police Station is found involved in negligence of duty over Nusrat Jahan Rafi murder, he must face trial.

The minister said this while talking to reporters at his Secretariat office on Sunday.

He said, “Those whoever are involved in crime must have face music whether he/she is OC or official of Home Ministry or public representative.”

“Moazzem Hossain will have to face punishment regardless of his or her position over the incident,” he added.

The Minister said, “Moazzem Hossain has been sued over Rafi murder. He was also emerged in charge sheet. It might take some times to catch him if he flees, but he must face trial.”
