Cylinder blast kills 1 in city

Staff Correspondent: A man was killed in a cylinder gas explosion in Jatrabari area of the city on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Wahid Ullah, 52.
The explosion took place around 4:00pm.
Family sources said that the victim tried to boil water to take bath in his residence at House No. 15 in Gendaria. At one stage, the gas cylinder exploded, leaving him critically burn injured.
Later, the injured man was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where duty doctor declared him dead around 5:00pm.
Confirming the matter, DMCH police outpost Sub-Inspector Bachchu Mia said that the body is kept at the hospital morgue.
