DMP limits road for Ijtema

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed restriction on vehicular movements heading towards Tongi and its adjacent areas including Uttara and Airport to maintain smooth journey.

DMP issued a press release in this regard on Thursday.

The roads that will remain off-limits to common vehicles are Ashulia Bridge-Abdullahpur-Pragati Sarani route and Tongi Bridge-Gazipur route, DMP said.

No vehicles will be allowed to park in roadside from Rampura Bridge to Pragati Sarani.

Four large micro buses will carry the airport-bound passengers from Nikunja-1 residential area.

The first phrase of Bishwa Ijtema, the second largest congregation of Muslims after the hajj, will be held from January 13 to 15 and second phrase from January 20 to 22 in 2017.
