DNCC Mayoral By-polls: EC to hold meeting Sunday

Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission (EC) is expected to hold a meeting on Sunday over the by-polls of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
The meeting is scheduled to be started at 11:00am at Election Bhaban in the capital.
Along with the election in 18 new wards adding to DNCC, the decision over the extended wards of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) will be taken.
Election Secretary has already finalised the work sheet for the 15th commission meeting.
It may be mentioned that the DNCC mayoral post has been declared vacant on November 30 after its mayor Annisul Huq passed away.
According to the rules, EC is bound to hold the by-election within 28 February.
