DNCC by-polls: SSC exams to be rescheduled

Staff Correspondent: The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations dated on February 24 and 25 will be rescheduled for the upcoming Dhaka North City Corporation by-polls.

Helaluddin Ahmed, acting secretary to the Election Commission, came up with the disclosure after a meeting with education ministry and board officials at Agargaon in Dhaka on Tuesday. 

He said the authorities were requested to change the exams dates. The chairmen of the boards for secondary and higher secondary education, madrasa and technical education approved the matter.

"They will set the new dates after the polls schedule is announced,” he added.

The DNCC mayor post fell vacant following the death of Annisul Huq. The by-polls for the post will be held in the last week of February 2018.
