DNCC by-polls to be held in last of Feb

Staff Correspondent: The mayoral by-elections of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will be held in last week of February.
Acting Secretary of Election Commission (EC) Helal Uddin Ahmed said this to journalists on Sunday noon after a meeting.
Elections in 18 new wards of DNCC and DSCC each and several reserved seats will be held on the day.
The meeting started around 11:00am at the Election Bhaban in the capital.
It may be mentioned that the DNCC mayoral post was declared vacant on November 30 after its mayor Annisul Huq passed away.
According to the rules, EC is bound to hold the by-elections within 28 February.
