DNCC cancels license of 6 coaching centres

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has revoked licenses of six coaching centres as they did not remove their illegal and unauthorised signboards, posters and festoons as per instructions set by the DNCC.

DNCC Public Relations Officer ASM Mamun confirmed this to risingbd.com on Tuesday.

The six coaching centers are UCC, Uniaid, Icon, Icon Plus, Omega and Paragon in the city's Farmgate area, the DNCC official said.

As the coaching centres did not follow the instructions, a mobile court launched a drive against them and cancelled their trade licences in line with the Graffiti Writing and Poster Sticking Control Act 2012 and City Corporation (Taxation) Rules 1986, he said.

The DNCC Waste Management Department had issued notices to these institutions earlier in March to remove their banners, posters, festoons and signboards that were used illegally for advertisement purposes around the capital.
