DU Prof Morshed Hasan suspended

Staff Correspondent: The authorities of Dhaka University (DU) have suspended Morshed Hasan Khan, a professor of Marketing Department under Faculty of Business Studies, on allegations of distorting history of the Liberation War and defaming Bangabandhu.

The suspension order came following an article titled “Jyotirmoy Zia” published in a national daily on March 26.

In his article, Morshed made some remarks about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and on the history of the Liberation War.

The order will be made effective instantly and he will have to face the punishment until further notice, according to registrar office of the university.
