DU student drowns

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka University (DU) student drowned in a pond of Saheed Sergeant Zahurul Haq Hall on the campus on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Jony, a 1st year student of Applied Chemistry department.
He drowned in the pond while bathing along with two friends around 10.45am.
Later, after being rescued he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where physicians declared him dead on arrival.
Jony was a residential student of Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall.
