DU teacher Asif Nazrul gets bail in two cases

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka University (DU) Professor Asif Nazrul has secured anticipatory bail in two cases filed in Madaripur, one filed for libel and the other under ICT Act.

The High Court (HC) bench of Justice Md Miftah Uddin Choudhury and Justice Zafar Ahmed granted the bail after hearing two separate petitions on Tuesday.

Asif Nazrul appeared before the court and moved the bail petitions.

The anticipatory bail was given to Nazrul for six weeks in the defamation case, and in the suit under ICT Act – until the submission of police report.
