Dacoit killed in Brahmanbaria gunfight

Brahmanbaria Correspondent: A suspected dacoit was killed in a gunfight between his cohorts and police at Tigharia village of Binauti union under Kashba upazila of the district early Saturday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Kasba police station Officer-in-Charge Mahiuddin said that on information a team of police conducted a drive in the village around 2:00am Saturday.

Meanwhile, sensing the presence of police, dacoits opened fire aiming the law enforces which triggered the gunfight, leaving the robber dead on the spot.

Later, police recovered a pipe gun, two rounds of bullets and three lethal weapons from the scene.
