Staff Correspondent: Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar maritime ports were advised to hoist Great Danger Signal No. 10 as cyclonic storm 'Mora' is likely to continue over north bay and the coastal districts.

Besides, Meteorological Department in a special bulletin asked Mongla and Payra ports to hoist great danger signal 8.

The weather office bulletin further said the storm is about 480 kms south-southwest of Chittagong port, 400 kms south-southwest of Cox’s Bazaar port, 540 kms south-southeast of Mongla port and 470 kms south-southeast of Payra port.

 


The storm is likely to intensify further, move in a northerly direction and may cross Chittagong - Cox’s Bazaar coast by Tuesday morning, the bulletin said.

Coastal districts of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazaar, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Feni, Chandpur and their offshore islands and chars will come under danger signal number 10.

Maritime ports of Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist warning signal no. eight.
