David Warner's ton blows away KKR

Sports Desk: David Warner seems to be unstoppable this season. And Kolkata Knight Riders got a bitter realisation of his fiery form as the Sunrisers Hyderabad captain scored a 43-ball century in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 match in Hyderabad.

Earlier, he reached the half-century mark in just 20 balls. At the century-mark, Warner had hit eight sixes and seven fours. This is Warner’s third ton in IPL.

Warner’s onslaught started right from the first over as he took Nathan Coulter-Nile for a boundary over the mid-off. If there was still doubt about the Australian batsman’s intentions, he allayed with a six and a four in the third over.

But the most to get his battering was Irfan Pathan as he hit him for 17 runs in the fourth over. True to his form, he reached the 50-run mark with a six off Sunil Narine in the fifth over.

Shikhar Dhawan at other end was on 8 at that time, facing just five balls.

Warner’s intensity seemed to lower a bit after reaching his fifty but not for long. Barring the eighth and 11th over bowled by Kuldeep Yadav and Umesh Yadav, every over had at least one boundary.

He moved 81 to 98 in the space of just six balls as he hit Kuldeep for two sixes and a four. Finally he reached his century in 43 balls, as he took two runs off Umesh.
