Death row convict dies at Kashimpur jail

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A death row inmate named Ramzan alias Mokbul (55) has died at Kashimpur jail.

Mokbul was the son of the late Ohed Ali in Jhini Market area of Pagar in Tongi.

He was convicted in a murder case in 2013.

The man had been kept at the high security prison for one year.

Mokbul complained of chest pain on Sunday midnight, and he was rushed to the jail hospital.

Later. he was transferred to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
