Decision on sale of advance train tickets Thursday

Staff Correspondent: The Railway Ministry and Bangladesh Railway will sit for a meeting to decide on different issues including schedule for sale of advance train tickets like every year.

From when the advance train tickets will be available can be known from the meeting scheduled to be held on Thursday.

Md Shariful Alam, senior information officer of the Railway Ministry, confirmed the matter on Tuesday afternoon.

Shariful Alam said schedule is fixed every year for collecting advance train and bus tickets to deal with the rush of home-bound people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr. This time too, the schedule for sale of advance train tickets will be fixed. But from when the advance train tickets will be available can be known from the Thursday meeting.

On June 8, the meeting will be held at Bangladesh Rail Bhaban in the capital in this regard with Railway Minister Mujibul Haque in the chair, Shariful Alam added.

Bangladesh Railway officials will also be present at the meeting.
