'Demo will be continued until demands met'

Staff Correspondent: Teachers and employees, under the banner of the Non-Government Education Nationalisation Liaison Forum, have been observing hunger strike for three days in front to the National Press Club in the capital, demanding the nationalisation of their institutions.

At least nine people have fallen sick till Wednesday, the third day of their demonstration.

Earlier, they observed sit-in programme till January 15, started from January 10, when 26 people fell sick.

Abdul Khaleque, Convener of the forum, said, "We are observing demonstration for consecutive eight days in front of the National Press Club, but we did not get any response from the government till today (Wednesday). We will continue the fast-unto-death programme until we get the clear announcement of the nationalisation."
