Demonstration by RMG workers continues

Staff Correspondent: Thousands of garment workers in different parts of the industrial zone continued to agitate for the fourth consecutive day on Wednesday, in protest against the disparity in pay in the new wage structure.

Workers from several garment factories in Kalshi area of Mirpur blockaded the road in the morning. To avoid any unwanted situation, huge number of policemen have been deployed in the area.

Officer-in-Charge of Pallobi Thana Nazrul Islam said workers from several garment factories started gathering on the road since morning and began demonstrations.
