Development Fair begins putting special importance on tourism

Staff Correspondent: The three-day 4th 'National Development Fair' has begun at the venue of International Trade Fair in the city's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area on Thursday, putting special priority on tourism sector.
The fair is being organised with an aim to showcase multiple development initiatives taken up by the present government and its successes.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair through videoconferencing from her official residence Gano Bhaban this morning.
Separate fairs will also be held in all district and upazila headquarters throughout the country simultaneously.
The fair will remain open from 10:00am to 9:00pm every day.
A total of 330 stalls are participating in the fair to highlight the development initiatives of the government.
A special importance on the rising tourism sector is being given in this year’s fair. For this, a stall has been installed to provide information on tourism in the fair of every district.
The fair will showcase 10 special initiatives taken by the Prime Minister, international recognitions and successes, the Visions 2021 and 2041, Bangabandhu Satellite, mega projects, including Padma Bridge and Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, as well as investment prospects.
Three seminars will be held in the fair.
On the first day, a seminar titled 'Bangabandhu's Development Philosophy and Today's Bangladesh' will be held at 5:00pm while another titled 'Ten Special Initiatives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sustainable Development Goal' will be held on the second day and a seminar on 'Educated Nation and Wealthy Country: Sheikh Hasina's Bangladesh' will be held on the third and final day.
