Dhaka International Trade Fair ends

Economic Correspondent: The 24^th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) has ended on Saturday.

The entry gate of the trade fair was closed to buyers and visitors at 8:00 pm after its month-long operation, beginning from January 8.

Bangladeshi companies have received order to import products worth around Tk 200 crore in this year’s trade fair which is 35 percent higher than the previous year, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said this while addressing the concluding ceremony of 24th DITF this morning.

In last year’s DITF, the local companies got the order worth Tk 165.96 crore which has increased to around Tk 200 crore this year, he said.

The trade fair supposed to be concluded on February 8 was extended by one day following the demands of the owners of stalls and pavilions.
