Dhaka-Kathmandu flight operations suspended

Staff Correspondent: The authorities of US-Bangla Airlines on Wednesday suspended its flight operations between Dhaka and Kathmandu for indefinite time.

Kamrul Islam, general manager (public relations) of the US-Bangla Airlines, confirmed this to media.

The suspension came into effect from today. But flight operations of US-Bangla Airlines on domestic and international routes are in place, Kamrul Islam said.

The decision came following the tragic crash of a US-Bangla aircraft boarding 71 passengers and crew at Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital of Himalayan country Nepal on March 12 that left at least 51 people dead, including 26 Bangladeshi nationals.
