Dhaka-Khulna rail line resumes after 12-hr

Kushtia Correspondent: The rail communication of Khulna with the capital Dhaka and the northern part of the country has been restored on Saturday morning after 13 hours of disruption due to derailment.

The rail communication partially resumed around 7.00am, and the rail link will be fully restored by noon, sources said.
 

Earlier on Friday evening, a compartment of Rajshahi-bound Sagordari Express, including the locomotive, had derailed near Poradah rail station, halting the Khulna’s rail communication with Dhaka and the northern part of the country.
