'Dhaka WASA responsible for waterlogging in city'

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokon opined that Dhaka WASA (Water Supply & Sewerage Authority) is responsible for waterlogging in the capital.

The mayor made the opinion while addressing a programme organized by debating society at Dhaka University TSC auditorium on Tuesday.

He said that Dhaka WASA is not working properly. That’s why the city dwellers are suffering.

Sayeed Khokon also said that the waterlogging situation is comparably better than previous year due to development works of DSCC. There will be no waterlogging in the capital in future if the DSCC can implement all development projects.

Meanwhile, he urges all to work together to keep the city clean.

Dhaka University VC Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique, Chief Executive Officer of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Khan Mohammad Bilal and others attended the programme.
