Digital lesson for SSC candidates inaugurated

Staff Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated “Online Digital Lesson” for this year’s SSC candidates to learn Bengali, English and mathematics.

The premier inaugurated the digital lesson through videoconferencing during the inaugural ceremony of “National Development Fair” from her official residence Gano Bhaban on Thursday.

Citing “Online Digital Lesson” as a gift for SSC candidates, Hasina said, “We have come to know after scrutinizing the results of SSC examinations that our children have lagged behind a bit on several subjects although pass rate in those examinations has increased.”

The tools were developed to help the student to take online lesson on the subjects more perfectly ahead of their examination scheduled for February, 2019 and in future such digital lessons would be developed for other subjects, she said.

The prime minister said Bangladesh now can implement its annual budget with its own resources as the country is making progress in every sector, particularly in the areas of education.

“We want to make sure that people can lead their lives as human beings,” she said adding that “In last 10 years we could change the fate of the people.”

Sheikh Hasina said her government has attached highest importance to education so that youths can use the education in their day to day life and livelihood and a knowledge based society is created. Without education a nation cannot be developed and prosper, she said.
