‘Dire consequence for sharing rumour on soial media’

Staff Correspondent: Director General (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Benazir Ahmed said that if someone spreads any rumour on social media like Facebook, (you) firstly check it and share it. Otherwise, if anyone shares rumour without verifying it, he or she must have to face dire consequence. Stern actions will be taken him/her.

He said this while briefing media on Thursday noon.

Benazir said the entire premises of Ijtema will remain under Close Circuit (CC) Camera. Patrols of helicopter, boat, jip and motorcycle will be conducted in and around the premises. Law enforcement agencies are more cautious this year for different reasons. All out preparations have already been taken to hold Biswa Ijtema peacefully. Double number of plain clothe RAB officials than that in uniform will perform duties during Ijtema.
