Discipline to be brought on roads: Home Minister

Staff Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said disciplines must come to roads as people have already started responding to the call of traffic police.

He said, “Nowadays, motorcyclists as well as riders are using helmets due to some initiatives taken by the government, which is considered as a great success.”

The Minister said this after inaugurating the ‘fortnightly traffic discipline-2019’ campaign in Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) area to make people aware to obey the traffic rules to bring discipline in traffic management system.

“We have already identified 130 bus stands in the Dhaka metropolitan areas and check post will be set up at 57 points from where the traffic police will conduct their activities in bringing discipline in the traffic management system,” he continued.
