Drive in city militant den: 4 held

Staff Correspondent: The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted a drive at a 'militants den' in capital's Jatrabari area and arrested four members of Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB)’s Sarwar-Tamim group including its IT department chief.

RAB conducted the drive at a house in Dolaipar early Wednesday. They also recovered arms, bullets and explosives from the spot.

The arrestees include Md Ashfak e Azam, chief of IT of a faction, which RAB called the “Sarwar-Tamim group”, Commander Mufti Mahmud Khan, RAB's legal and media wing director, told risngbd.com.

He said the militants rented the house introducing themselves as construction workers on January 23.

Details would be disclosed later at a press briefing, he added.
