Durjoy sees Bangladesh favourite in Champions Trophy

Sport Correspondent: Former captain Naimur Rahman Durjoy believes that there is a chance for Bangladesh to do well in the upcoming Champions Trophy if the Tigers can continue to play the brand of cricket they displayed recently.

He said, "It is a great chance for the Tigers to show their performance in the upcoming Champions Trophy as they are now very much confident."

The cricket board director Durjoy said this at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday.

He said, "Our cricketers are now in the form. They did well in both international and domestic cricket recently. We are fovourite on the basis of this point view. Batsmen are getting runs and the spinners are bagging wickets. The pacers can contain the batsmen. After all, most of the players are in the form. So, we believe Bangladesh will do better."

Champions Trophy is scheduled to be held in England from June 1 this year. Bangladesh are participating in the game after 10 years. Tigers will start their mission battling against the host England.
