EC decided to withdraw KMP commissioner

Staff Correspondent: Election Commission has decided to withdraw Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) commissioner Humayun Kabir following several complaints ahead of the upcoming general election.

Sources said that negative report was submitted over the role of KMP commissioner. Following the complaints, a commissioner proposed to remove the officer during an EC meeting. Later, the EC approved the decision removing the KMP commissioner.

Earlier, the EC withdrew Narayangan superintendent of police and two other officers–in-charge.
