EC secretary seeks another body guard to strengthen security

Staff Correspondent: Election Commission (EC) secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed has a body guard with pistol, he has sought another one with shotgun to strengthen his security during the 11th parliamentary election.

EC secretary’s personal secretary Al-Mamun served a letter to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner in this regard, said a source of EC on Tuesday.

According to the letter, activities of the 11th general election are running currently. The voting will be held on the next December 30. EC secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed is busy with activities of the election all the time. Though he has a body guard with pistol of DMP Protection Department, he needs another one with shotgun during election to strengthen his security.
