EC sits with BNP in election dialogue

Staff Correspondent: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda is holding a meeting with a delegation of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) regarding the 11th parliamentary polls.

The 16-member delegation led by the party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir started the dialogue at Election Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon around 10:45am on Sunday.

The members are Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Barrister Jamir Uddin Sirca, Toriqul Islam, Lt Gen (retd) Mahbubur Rahman, Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia, Mirza Abbas, Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, Dr. Abdul Moyeen, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, ASM Abdul Halim, Md Ismail Jabih Ulah, Abdur Rashid Sarkar and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

The EC will also hold a meeting with the ruling Awami League on October 18 as part of the dialogue.
