EC to appeal against HC order

Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission will file an appeal against the High Court (HC) verdict that stayed the Gazipur City Corporation election for three months.

Election Commission Secretary Helal Uddin informed this at a views exchange meeting on Tuesday.

Earlier on Sunday, The HC bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Zafar Ahmed stayed the Gazipur City Corporation election for three months in response to a petition by a Savar upazila Awami League leader.
