ECNEC approves 11 projects

Staff Correspondent: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved 11 projects involving Tk 8,053 crore.

The approval came from the weekly ECNEC meeting held at the NEC Conference Room in the capital's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area with ECNEC Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair on Tuesday.

Planning Minister MA Mannan briefed reporters about the details after the meeting.

Of the total cost, Tk3,389 crore will come from the state exchequer, Tk551 crore from organizations’ fund and Tk4,113 crore from project assistance.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Agriculture minister Abdur Razzak, Information minister Hasan Mahmud, Education minister Dipu Moni and others attended the meeting.
