ECNEC approves 16 projects

Staff Correspondent: The Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) gave an approval to 16 development projects worth of Tk 5,220.83crore.
The approval came from the regular weekly Ecnec meeting held at the NEC conference room here on Tuesday with Ecnec Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
Planning minister AHM Mustafa Kamal briefed the media, after the meeting.
Mustafa Kamal said a total of 16 projects were approved involving an overall cost of Tk5,220.83 crore. Of them Tk 4,744.12 crore will come from the national exchequer. Besides, Tk13.83 crore will come from the organization's fund and rest Tk462.88 crore will be given from project assistance.
Planning division secretary Ziaul Islam, Dr. Shamsul Alam Member General Economics Division (GED) Planning Commission and others attended the meeting.
