ECNEC approves 18 projects worth Tk17,786cr

Staff Correspondent: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday approved a total of 18 projects involving Tk17,786.96 crore.

The approval was made at the ECNEC meeting of the current fiscal year held at the NEC conference room in Dhaka’s Sher-E-Bangla Nagar with the committee’s Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said, "Of the total project cost, Tk13,813.44 crore will come from the government, Tk3,930.89 crore from the respective organisation's own fund while the rest of Tk42.62 crore from project assistance.

Planning Division Secretary Md Ziaul Islam and others attended the meeting.
