ECNEC approves 21 projects involving Tk 19,778 cr

Staff Correspondent: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved 21 projects involving Tk 19,778.73 crore.

The approval came from the ECNEC meeting held at the NEC conference room in the city’s Agargaon area with ECNEC chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal briefed reporters after the meeting.

Of the total cost, Tk 17,316.93 crore will come from government fund, while Tk 2,227.87 crore project assistance and the remaining 233.93 crore from the organisations’ own funds.

Dr Shamsul Alam, senior secretary of general economics division, Planning secretary Md Ziaul Islam and others attended the meeting.
