ECNEC approves 6 projects worth over Tk2,920cr

Staff Correspondent: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday approved six projects worth Tk 2,920.39 crore.

Chaired by the Ecnec Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the approval was made at the weekly ECNEC meeting.

While briefing reporters after the meeting, State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan said, "A total of six projects were approved today involving an overall cost of Tk 2,920.39 crore."

He said, "Of the total estimated cost, Tk 2,920.39 crore will come from the national exchequer, while Tk 224.55 crore will be provided as project assistance and Tk 625.70 crore will be provided as project assistance."

Planning secretary Ziaul Islam, General Economics Division member of the Planning Commission Dr M Shamsul Alam and others attended in the press briefing.
