EU delegation holds meeting with EC

Staff Correspondent: A seven-member delegation of European Union (EU) held a meeting with Election Commission (EC) on Thursday.

The meeting began around 11.15am at the office of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda at Agargaon Election Building.

CEC's personal officer AKM Mazharul Islam confirmed the matter.

The delegation includes representatives of Britain, Germany, Spain, Sweden, France, Denmark and Netherlands under the leadership of European Union Ambassador.

Election Commissioners Mahbub Talukder, Md. Rafiqul Islam, Kabita Khanam, Brigadier General (retd) Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury and EC Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed were also present.

The meeting discussed various issues related to the eleventh parliamentary elections, EC sources said.
