Code of Conduct for EVM finalised

Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission (EC) has finalised the Code of Conduct to use Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in the upcoming general election.

The provision was finalised at the 38th adjourned meeting of EC on Sunday (November 04), four days after the president signed signed the RPO (amendment) Ordinance on October 31.

The meeting started at 3:00PM which continued for more than an hour.

Now EC secretary will issue a gazette notification to publish it after vetting at the Ministry of Law Affairs.

EC joint secretary S M Asaduzzaman confirmed the news.

He also said, “Another phase of the meeting will be held in the evening over the decision of schedule announcement for the 11th general election.”
