Eid advance bus ticket sales begin Aug 7

Staff Correspondent: Sales of advance ticket for long-distance bus will begin from tomorrow (Tuesday) on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha.

Bangladesh Bus-Truck Owners’ Association postponed the selling of advance bus ticket due to an unavoidable reason although it was supposed to sell on Sunday (August 5).

Counter managers at Gabtoli bus terminal said they will start selling advance bus ticket for the upcoming Eid from tomorrow morning.

Association’s vice president and Shyamali Paribahan managing director Romesh Chandra Ghosh confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.

He said the situation is now better. So, they will start selling advance bus ticket from tomorrow morning.

Earlier, private bus operators fixed August 5 to start selling advance tickets for home-goers ahead of the Eid, which is expected to be celebrated on August 22. But they postponed it yesterday citing the unrest following the ongoing student protest demanding safe roads.
