Eid advance launch tickets sale from June 1

Staff Correspondent: Sale of advance launch tickets for the Eid-ul-Fitr holidaymakers will begin from June 1.

The home-goers will collect all kinds of launch advance tickets, including that of cabin, at Sadarghat Launch Terminal from June 1 and it will continue till June 10.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) Joint Director Alamgir Hossain told risingbd.com that over hundred of launches are plying on 41 river routs of the country per day. There are about 10,000 cabins (first and second class) in these launches. Advance cabin booking will be started after 15 Ramadan.

Following additional passenger pressure, he said that additional launch services will be started to face the passenger rush.
