Staff Correspondent: Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest Muslim religious festival, will be observed on Wednesday in most places across Bangladesh. Devotees will attend Eid prayers in the morning before setting off the day's celebrations.

The Dhaka City Corporations arranged 409 Eid prayer congregations or jamaats including five jamaats at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the city for Sunday.

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Public Relation Office Uttam Kumar said there will be 230 Eid congregations including National Eidgah and Dhaka University field under 57 wards of DSCC.

Besides, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) public relation officer SM Mamun said that a total of 179 Eid congregations will be held in 36 wards under DNCC.

Director of Islamic Foundation Mohammad Harunur Rashid said the main Eid congregation in the capital will be held at the National Eidgah on the premises of the Supreme Court at 8.30am.

Baitul Mukarram National Mosque will hold five jamaats beginning with the first at 7:00am, the second at 8:00am, the third at 9:00am, the fourth at 10:00am and the final congregation at 11:15am.

At Dhaka University's Central Mosque two jamaats will be held. The first will start at 8:00am while the second will be at 9:30am.

Additionally, two separate jamaats will also be held on the lawns of Salimullah Hall at 7:30am and Shahidulah Hall at 8:30am.

At the Saidabad Pak Darbar Sharif Boro Jame Mosque Eid prayers will start at 8:00am, with a second jamaat at 9:00am and a third at 10:00am.

The first Eid jamaat at the Bab-e-Rahmat Dewanbagh Sharif Mosque at Arambagh begins at 8:00am, the second at 9:30am, and the third at 10:00am.
