Ershad announces 58-party alliance

Senior Correspondent: Jatiya Party chief HM Ershad announced the new alliance along with 58 other political parties ahead of the next general election.

The JP Chief announced the formation of "Sommilito Jatiya Jote" United National Alliance (UNA) at a programme in capital's National Press Club on Sunday noon.

Ershad said, "The alliance was formed for the sake of the country and nation. We will join polls and candidates will be given in 300 seats."

We will participate in all elections including national level polls, he added.

He also said, “Jatiya Party is no more with the Awami League-led 14-party alliance.”
