Ex-Eden principal was killed for looting goods!

Staff Correspondent: Police believe that former Eden College principal Mahfuza Chowdhury Parvin might have been killed for looting goods from her house. But police could not present any clear explanation behind the argument, because they could yet not arrest one of the two house helps.

Maruf Hossain Sardar, deputy commissioner (DC) of Ramna Zone, said one of the domestic helps, Shopna alias Rita Akter was arrested from her own house of Fatehpur village under Itna upazila in Netrokona early Friday. Law enforcers also recovered vanity bag of the slain Mahfuza, a golden chain and Tk 7,000 from her possession. She also confessed to her involvement in the killing in primary interrogation.”

DC Maruf told this to the reporters at New Market Police Station under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Friday afternoon.

He further said, “Police are trying to arrested another domestic help Reshma alias Ruma.”

However, police have yet not found any involvement of Runu alias Rakib’s mother 45, who supplied the domestic helps to Mahfuza, in the incident.

The DC said, “The information house helps provided was totally fake. So, it needs time to trace out them. Ruma was not found on the addresses she had provided. The mystery behind the killing will uncover after she is arrested.”
