Ex-minister’s drunk son beaten by DU students

Campus Reporter, DHAKA, Apr 9: A Son of the former state Minister for Sports Ahad Ali Srakar has been detained and beaten by the students of Amar Ekushey Hall of Dhaka University while he was taking Pathedrine throw injection in the Hall.

 

The incident took place in the guest room of the Hall, this afternoon.

 

The eyewitnesses and the local sources said the students of the dorm held the ex-Minister’s son Bakul Sarkar while he was taking Pathedrine, one kind of drugs which can be taken through injections.

 

At the same time, the students of the University found a bottle of Phensidyl and injections in his pockets.

 

Later, the students of the University have beaten him up.

 

The general secretary of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) unit of the Hall, Masudul Hassan Miraj, however, said in this regard that the outsiders often come in the hall and take drugs that is very much depressing for us.
