Fake cosmetics worth Tk10cr seized

Senior Correspondent: A joint team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) seized huge fake cosmetic products from a factory and its warehouse at Chawkbazar in old Dhaka. 

The law enforcers conducted the drive on Saturday noon which continued till night. Meanwhile, RAB-10 seized counterfeit cosmetics worth Tk 10 crore after raiding different shops in the area.

During the drive, the magistrate also realised Tk 85 lakh in fines from 15 shops and two warehouses.

Mobile court executive magistrate Sarwar Alam told risingbd.com that the traders of these shops were selling these fake cosmetic products using name of renowned brands. These products are serious harmful for human skin.
