Fake letter on PSC pad

Secretariat Correspondent: A fake letter has reportedly surfaced at several ministries asking a halt on the recruitment into open public service positions at those ministries.

The letter appears to have been written on the pad of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC), according to a press release issued by PSC on Thursday.

The letter asked a halt on the recruitment at those ministries and directorates until December 3 citing the announcement of election schedule, the press release said.

PSC Chairman Dr Muhammed Sadique reportedly said the letter is a fake and that “no such decision was taken from the commission” in this regard, it read.

The commission came to know about the letter on Thursday morning, according to the press release.
